Parish Footpath Observers

Parish Footpath Observers (PFOs) are volunteers who monitor the condition of public rights of way in their allocated parish. They walk the paths regularly, reporting problems such as broken stiles, overgrown vegetation, damaged gates, missing signage, or obstructions. This vital work helps Kent Ramblers and the local authorities keep the footpath network in good condition for everyone to enjoy.

The interactive map below shows the current allocation of PFOs across Kent. Green parishes have an allocated observer, while red parishes have vacancies. Click on any parish to see its name and current status.

This map replaces the previous static PDF map and will be kept up to date as allocations change.
