Abinger Circular

This walk takes us away from our usual stomping grounds in Kent to the Surrey Hills, and includes a variety of many different aspects of the Surrey countryside.  The walk starts at the National Trust car park (Roughs and Netley Park) and works its way counter clockwise through Abinger Hammer, Holmbury St Mary, Friday Street before passing the Wilberforce Monument (no, not that one, his son).

The walk is around 6 miles in the morning, and then after lunch at The Royal Oak in Holmbury St Mary (or picnic on the green), a further 4 miles in the afternoon.

No idea about overall ascent, but think of it as similar to a walk around Ide Hill - but different scenery.
