Aldington

Meet by the playing field, opposite The Walnut Tree pub in Aldington. Please park considerately on Roman Road near to the playing field. Don’t use the Village Hall or Walnut Tree car parks.

This is a scenic walk across farmland and following part of the Saxon Shore Way east of Aldington, where weather permitting, we should have spectacular views over Romney Marsh and to the Channel. Then we go along the Royal Military Canal Path to St Rumwold’s Church before climbing the slope back to Aldington.

Leisurely pace with some hills.

Estimated finish time is around 13.30.

Possibility of refreshments at the Walnut Tree at the end of the walk.
