A beautiful farmland walk

From the Toy’s Hill car park we will descend fairly rapidly, pausing to stop by a roadside stall which sells wonderful jam, marmalade and chutney (bring small change if you want to buy some, and empty jars with lids if you can spare them). The rest of the walk is relatively flat, passing through lovely farmland steeped in history – Henden Manor (15th century), Boons Park, Obriss Farm and the wonderfully-named Bardogs – and with lambs to entertain us as we walk. After passing the well sunk by Octavia Hill, founder of the National Trust (wonderful view!), we enjoy a steep pull up back to the car park where we started.
