Bishopsbourne and Pett Bottom Circular

The walk was unashamedly lifted from the Elham Valley Walkers notice board in Barham recently! We meet and start the walk at the Mermaid pub in the centre of Bishopsbourne. There is reasonable parking along the road opposite the pub. This very scenic walk takes you from Bishopsbourne towards Kingston and Upper Hardres before going north towards Pett Bottom through open countryside and woodland. We then return to Bishopsbourne via a final leg through the grounds of Bourne House and along the course of the Nailbourne. There is no meal planned at the end of the walk but we checked out the Roast at the Mermaid at the end of the reccie and it hit the spot!
