Chilham and the Stour Valley

From Chilham to Godmersham Park (once the home of Jane Austen's brother, now home to the Association of British Dispensing Opticians). Then across the valley to Eggarton and Eggringe Wood. Picnic lunch in a field (no pub) with views back to Chilham Castle, then back via Mystole and Julliberrie Downs (site of a Neolithic long barrow) and on to East Stour farm, where we recross the A28 and head back via Mountain Street.
