Covert Wood near Barham

The start point is in Covert Wood on the road between South Barham and Bladbean. Park in the clearings either side of the road where forest meets tracks. We need to avoid blocking access to these tracks. Please park fairly tightly - there should be space for 15-20 cars but car share if possible. The route will take us through part of Covert Wood before descending to Covet Lane. We'll climb the other side of the valley passing Marley Wood to Rear Farm and Pheasant Hall Road, returning via Charlton Wood, Marley, Hearts Delight, Redgate Shaw and Jumping Downs. The route is hilly in places. Bring your own refreshments - we'll stop en route about half way. Further refreshments available on return nearby in Barham (pub), Breach (Vineyard Tearoom) or Elham.
