Doddington 5 miles

We park in Doddington's church cp Church Lane. (Please give a £1 donation, per car, to Amanda who will then ensure that it goes into the donation box inside the church.) Setting off through parkland then Sharstead Woods we see the magnificent home where Virginia Wade grew up. Then a picturesque view of Newnham before we start a gentle slope up a quiet lane leading to Seed. We enter a well signed orchard where we will stop for a drink and a short sit on a bank. (Bring a plastic carrier bag to sit on.) Another lane with great views, fields (which may be muddy) and woods back to the valley road. A short, steep ascent to the c.p. Those who want to can go directly to The Chequers pub for lunch before returning to their car. Nothing is booked as it is difficult to estimate numbers. This walk is suitable for those who are new to walking and are considering joining our group. Assistance dogs only.
