Hythe

Meet at Portland Road car park (by The Green and behind the former Duke’s Head pub), Hythe. The start point is close to Red Lion Square which is served by frequent buses to/from Folkestone, Dymchurch etc. Park either in the car park (free at this time of year) or lots of free parking nearby on the A259 either side of the Royal Military Canal.

The walk is via Hythe Seafront, Saltwood Castle, Brockhill Park, Pedlinge and after leaving Hythe is on public footpaths and bridleways.
