Hythe-Etchinghill Circular
Meet on the Canal bridge on Twiss road - park on Twiss road or nearby. We start by walking along the seafront then turn uphill past Shornecliffe military cemetery. An undulating path takes us through Parker wood joining the Saxon shore way past Dibgate camp and onto the Elham valley way. At Newington we walk along the dismantled railway to reach the Radio Mast at Tolsfor Hill and a trig point with far reaching views out towards Dungerness if the weather is good. From here its downhill following the Saxon shore way to Saltwood and back to our start. There are toilets near the start. The walk is not suitable for dogs due to livestock. The Bell pub is at the end of the walk for refreshments. Assistance dogs only.
