From Leaves Green to the Meridian and Beyond

237 years after the first fleet sailed around the globe and landed in Sydney, New South Wales, we practise our own navigation on a scenic route from Leaves Green. The path takes us from there to the Greenwich Meridian trail and across undulating farmland to Tatsfield for lunch (approx 6 miles), where there is green for our picnic and a pub for a quick drink, if desired. The afternoon of 5 miles sees us pick a route through Biggin Hill and back to the start. There will be a chance for prospective Bromley leaders to practise navigation by map and compass (sextants not needed, and hopefully no navigation by the stars!).
