Meet at Margate station concourse.

This is a one way walk along the King Charles III England Coast Path to Ramsgate, returning to start, or heading home, by train or bus. Anyone wanting to shorten the walk can do so by returning from Broadstairs station. Length of walk is 11.5 miles to Ramsgate or 6 miles for those wishing to return from Broadstairs.

Lunch stop will be in Broadstairs where there are plenty of cafes or pubs, or the option of bringing a packed lunch. Walking will be mostly along paved surfaces so suitable for trainer type footwear, no stiles or gates. There are toilets at the start at Margate station and a number en-route. If it’s a warm day anyone wanting a swim can do so, high tide is approx 09:40hrs, so an appropriate location can be decided on the day. 

For those planning to get to the start by train, from Faversham are due to arrive at Margate at 09:57hrs and there is a bus replacement service for trains from Ramsgate which should arrive at 09:50hrs. Parking is available in the station car park for a fee.
