Paul S Fairwarp Gold Circular 5.5 miles

We start from the Village Green, and head toward the church, where the Eckstein family are burried who lived at nearby Oldlands Hall, and who became wealthy through gold mining activities in South Africa, and hence the title of this walk.

We join the Sussex Diamond Way, and head across Ashdown Forest towards Nutley, where we take Clock House lane, before heading North to join School Lane. We head Eastwards across the Forest to Marlpits and on to Holles Car park, with fine views to the South, passing through Duddleswell  on our way back to Fairwarp.

Option drink in the Foresters Arms.
