Ryarsh & North Downs Way Circular
From Ryarsh we walk up to the North Downs Way and follow it before descending to Paddlesworth and the ancient Church of St. Benedict. It dates from the early part of the 12th century and was used by pilgrims on their way to Canterbury . It closed as a church in 1678, and was then used for some 250 years for non-religious purposes. The Church was restored in the last century. From there we cross farmland to Birling and back to Ryarsh. There is a pub at the end, the Duke Of Wellington. Please book if you require food.
