SEVENOAKS FESTIVAL WALK - a walk full of interest near Toys Hill

NB If you are coming from the south end of Sevenoaks, note that Gracious Lane is closed. Gracious Lane Bridge can be accessed from Oak Lane. Puddledock Lane (from Crockham Hill or Four Elms) is open, after a closure last week.

This scenic walk meanders and undulates, mostly on National Trust land, passing many points of interest – a well sunk by Octavia Hill (founder of the National Trust), an old ram pump which provides water to Emmetts Garden, the pretty hamlet of Frenchstreet, a bat tower, a memorial and reminders of an old estate. There are several sets of steps, a couple of them quite long, but only one stile. The walk is 5 miles long.  We welcome all including those who may not be regular walkers. Well behaved dogs welcome; we will walk through fields where there is likely to be livestock.
