Simon's Rotherfield & Mark Cross Circular

Starting at Crowborough Railway Station enter the land of the dinosaurs at Jarvis Brook (the inspiration for Arthur Conan Dyles book Lost Worlds) following route of old ghyll, before following River Grom (tributary of Medway) and single track railway line (Uckfield Line) peppered with WWII Pill Boxes before heading through ancient woodland along old paths to Mark Cross with windmill and then south to Rotherfield with long distance views of Ashdown Forest stopping at Kings Arms Pub before crossing Dewlands Hill golf course and back to station via old trackway.
