Training Trek on the North Downs
A challenging walk with the aim of including several ascents and descents, which might appeal if you are planning to walk in the hills or mountains over the summer. The total ascent and descents is around 765 metres or 2500 feet, the equivalent of a Lakeland peak. Some climbs are optional (waiting for the others), but even so, you will do around 510 metres or 1670 feet. Our route takes us along the North Downs to Kemsing for lunch, where there are public toilets and a pub, but please bring your own food to keep lunch around 45 minutes, and make sure you have plenty of water.
