A Welcoming Walk for New and Prospective Members

Join us for a walk with a special welcome for new and prospective members who may be wondering if a club walk suits them. And, of course, regular walkers who are looking for a friendly walk close to home are welcome too. From Norman Park we go through woods and across fields to Keston Common for lunch. Please bring a picnic, but there will be time for a quick drink or coffee in one of the local pubs or coffee shop. And please also bring plenty of water for the day, especially if it is still hot; we are also likely to have a short break at some point, when a thermos may be a good idea, even on a hot day. Keston also provides an opportunity to leave the walk, catching a bus back to Bromley or Biggin Hill. We should have time to see the Keston fishponds and source of the Ravensbourne, before making our way to Hayes (another opportunity to leave) and back to Norman Park. The paths are flat, with no stiles, although there will be tree roots to watch out for.
